New Hair?!

I did it.

After over one year of debating, I took the plunge. I cast away all doubts and manned up. I highlighted my hair! I bought a L'oreal box kit from the drugstore and was planning on dying it Saturday after my mom came home from her hair cut. She promised to ask our hair dresser if she had any tips for success...But, she said, "Oh god no! You're coming in and I will do it for you. Since your hair is so dark it's easy for it to turn either white or orange. I would hate to see that happen." So, I made an appointment that day.


In these pictures it looks really red and crazy (pics include natural lighting + flash). I got these highlights called peek-a-boo highlights. Basically, you highlight the layer underneath the top. This allows the color to peep through. She said if you want to go crazy, you can part your hair a different way and it will be more a vibrant color.

I can't believe I actually went through with it. Do you like it? Or ya think it looks weird'? ><

    Thanks! Hahahaha. I don't really know how to explain it. I just curl it. You can use either a large curling iron or a flat iron to achieve the same look. Above, I used a flat iron and only curled the first three sections. If you have any questions, just let me know!

    I'm also a big FF fan, though I haven't played anything in a while. I loved FF7, Tactics, and FF8/FF9. I tried their newest MMO too but got kind of turned off when my character got STUCK in this random cave... anyway. I LOVE HP! I think the last one comes out next month? Haha.

    Just wondering, and don't take this into offense because I'm NOT trying to stereotype but are you into Blizzard games like StarCraft I or II? Currently those are my main addictions!

    that's so funny !!! {: i did the same thing with my hair! after years of debating whethere i should dye my hair, i finally did it.. it wasn't really how i wanted it to look like but still... i love how we both made risks! anyway... if we get tired of it, we can always dye it again to our hair color :]

    i thought the colour looks nice on you, but it does look a bit orange-y and red, but i guess thats the lighting, when i had my highlites usually in the summer, but now i stopped cuz its very damaging (all those bleach)..lol oh ya when i had my highlitez, they are alwasy super blonde~~~i luv blonde highlitez~~~but i like yours, its very subtle~~~~and cute~~~
